Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

You will join a team working with advanced engineering and concept vehicles in an environment where new technologies and new ideas take shape early. The work centers on concept development and early-phase design, with a strong focus on areas such as electrification, hydrogen, and e-Mining.

This is a role for you if you enjoy turning technical possibilities into feasible design concepts while navigating changing priorities and a high degree of uncertainty. You will work closely with stakeholders across R&D and Production, contribute to vehicle layout decisions, and help move ideas forward from concept to realistic technical solutions. It is an exciting opportunity to influence future vehicle concepts in a fast-moving engineering setting.

• You will contribute to concept development and early-phase design of advanced vehicles.
• You will create 3D models and concept-level drawings in Catia V5.
• You will support the development of technical solutions within areas such as cooling systems, braking systems, steering, and battery installations.
• You will collaborate closely with R&D, Production, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
• You will take part in vehicle layout work and help ensure that designs are feasible and aligned with project goals.
• You will perform or support FEM calculations to validate design concepts.
• You will deliver design work at concept level within tight timelines and contribute to the continuous improvement of technical solutions.

• Minimum 7 years of experience within mechanical design or a related field
• Strong experience from concept development and early-phase engineering
• Proven experience working with Catia V5 (3D)
• Good knowledge of Enovia or similar PLM systems
• Experience in designing BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) solutions
• Understanding of vehicle layout and system integration
• Knowledge of FEM calculations for design validation
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements
• You communicate well and collaborate effectively across functions.
