Package Development Engineer

You will join a cross-functional scrum team working with package development in the packaging industry. This role combines requirements work, test and validation, risk assessment and root cause analysis to ensure package performance and functionality meet expectations. You will work closely with stakeholders across the development process and help turn product requirements into robust sub-system requirements, while also improving procedures, methods and ways of working. It is a great fit if you enjoy hands-on validation in a complex product development environment where you can influence both quality and process.

• You will support the translation of product requirements into sub-system requirements related to the package area.
• You will define the V&V strategy for the package area and execute the related activities.
• You will write test specifications, perform physical tests, analyze package performance and functionality, and document the results in reports.
• You will coordinate package activities in line with established procedures, standards and methods.
• You will drive root cause investigations and risk assessments linked to package performance and functionality.
• You will develop and implement new procedures, test methods and validation methods based on requirements.
• You will collaborate with relevant stakeholders and contribute to an agile way of working in the team.

• Academic degree in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent field.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.
• Fluent Swedish, spoken and written.
• Experience from the packaging industry.
• Knowledge of statistics.
• Knowledge of scrum and agile ways of working.
• Strong ability to work independently with physical testing.
• Development process knowledge, including risk assessment and requirements management.
• You communicate clearly, build strong stakeholder relationships, and work in a structured and process-oriented way.
• You are comfortable handling complexity and ambiguity, while also taking initiative and driving activities forward.

• Experience from the product development process within the package area.
• Knowledge of test methods in the primary and secondary package area.
• Master of Science in Chemical Engineering.
