Senior Full Stack Engineer (Consultant)

About the Role

We're looking for a senior engineer who can hit the ground running in complex client environments and bring both technical depth and delivery ownership to the table. You'll be embedded with clients across fintech, insurance, SaaS, and enterprise software — leading backend architecture, driving frontend quality, and mentoring the engineers around you.

This is a hands-on role. We need someone who writes production code, makes architectural calls, and communicates trade-offs clearly to both engineers and stakeholders.

What You'll Do

• Design and build scalable, cloud-native applications using TypeScript, Node.js, and React

• Architect backend services using NestJS, GraphQL, and microservices patterns on AWS

• Lead database design and optimization across PostgreSQL and Redis

• Drive CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud deployments

• Work across async messaging layers (Kafka, SQS) in distributed system contexts

• Build and maintain real-time communication features using WebRTC and peer-to-peer protocols

• Consult directly with client engineering leads on architecture and delivery strategy

• Collaborate across US and Nordic client teams, navigating time zones, communication styles, and delivery expectations

• Mentor mid-level engineers and contribute to technical standards across the team

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years in full stack development with a polyglot background (TypeScript/JavaScript, C#/.NET, SQL)

• Strong command of Node.js backend frameworks, particularly NestJS

• React expertise at scale, including performance optimization and component architecture

• Solid AWS depth: Lambda, S3, EC2, RDS, SQS, and ideally ECS or EKS

• Hands-on experience with WebRTC and real-time communication systems in production

• Proven track record working with US-based clients or teams in an embedded or consulting model

• Familiarity with Nordic engineering culture and workplace norms — direct communication, flat hierarchies, delivery autonomy

• Comfort owning delivery in a consulting or embedded team model — not just executing tickets

• Clear written and verbal communication, especially with non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Experience building AI-powered features or integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain/LangGraph)

• Familiarity with agentic development workflows or spec-driven delivery approaches

• C#/.NET background for legacy system contexts

• Prior exposure to regulated industries such as insurance, fintech, or telecom
