We are seeking an experienced System Designer with a background in automotive systems development to join a global company in Gothenburg.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop system-level solutions for automotive functions, ensuring alignment with product and platform requirements
• Drive and support software function development, from concept definition through implementation and validation
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, verification, and product stakeholders
• Define system requirements, interfaces, and architecture
• Ensure traceability and consistency across system requirements and design
• Support integration and troubleshooting activities across vehicle systems
Required Qualifications
• Experience as a System Designer
• Experience in software function development, preferably in the automotive domain
• Valuable:
- Hands-on experience with CarWeaver or similar system engineering tools
- Solid understanding of automotive system architecture, signals, and interfaces
- Experience working in a complex stakeholder environment, requiring strong coordination and alignment skills
• Driving license B
Nice to Have
• Experience with Volvo Cars development processes and tools ecosystem
• Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262) and/or cybersecurity
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies within automotive
• Experience testing and validating functions on a vehicle
• Experience working with legal/compliance-related functions
• Experience in safety-related systems
• Experience with exterior lighting systems

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to manage complexity and work effectively in a fast-paced development environment
• Structured and detail-oriented approach to system design
This is a full-time consultant position through Incluso, starting in September 2026. It is a two-year contract. This role is 100% onsite.
