MAP Petite Maison is on the search for a talented and well-presented Bar Manager to join the team. MAP Petite Maison is a dedicated cocktail and whisky bar situated on Vasagatan in Stockholm specialising in Japanese whisky, cocktails and small plates.

The right candidate is expected to have a genuine passion and enthusiasm to provide five-star service to all our guests. This position will suit a social person whose main drive is to provide an excellent and memorable experience for all guests.

Your duties will include:

  • Working closely with the team to learn the correct ways of service and how to improve the guest experience continuously
  • Learn how to make all in house cocktails and an extensive number of classic cocktails in order to help the customer to make an excellent choice based on their described preferences
  • Study Japanese and other world whiskies in order to confidently be able to recommend and describe whiskies on the whisky menu
  • Preparing food and develop the food concept
  • Prepare cocktails, in-house made ingredients and batches to ensure the bar is always fully stocked and not missing any items
  • Communicate efficiently, verbally and written, with the team to ensure any low stock items, feedback, points of improvements are brought to the attention of management
  • Running every service efficiently with great attention to detail to achieve great customer satisfaction
  • Working on the floor, conversing with guests and assisting them in making a great choice of cocktails, food, whisky and any other spirits.
  • Ensuring every single guest is looked after and enjoying themselves at all times
  • Ensuring the correct set-up of the venue and that it is checked and maintained throughout the day and night
  • Dealing with guests regarding any enquiries they may have
  • Building a positive relationship with our regular guests
  • Assisting with other tasks in the venue as required
  • Carry out all our masterclasses such as Cocktail Making, whisky tastings, gin tasting and more
  • Actively develop cocktails and contribute to the menu development
  • Carry out weekly and monthly stocktake of beverages
  • Train and instruct new staff members
  • Plan and carry out whisky tastings and trade events on an ongoing basis


Ideal candidate:

- Strong cocktail background with a proven track record of creative cocktail creation and development

- Previous bar manager or assistant bar manager experience

- Strong knowledge and interest in whisky, preferably Japanese

- Experience in carrying out tasting and classes

- A problem solving mindset and ability to find solutions to maintenance issues

- A business savvy mindset; ability to develop both the food and drinks offering

- Willingness to work in every department to help grow the business, including kitchen

The position is full time. Salary will be discussed during interview where the candidates experience and qualifications will be assessed.
