Front-end Engineer, Find My Team

Join us at Sigma to be part of a team of consultants that will work at Apple with features relating to the Find My network. You will be part of an independent, small, and autonomous unit dedicated to building the user interfaces for a global network that locates devices without a network connection. This role involves owning the full product lifecycle, from early design discussions to production, within a dynamic environment where priorities evolve frequently. You'll collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers using React, TypeScript, Docker, and GitHub, contributing to a highly scalable and privacy-conscious system.

• Design, build, and maintain the front-end interfaces that users interact with across a global device network
• Own the development process end-to-end, from early design conversations through production release
• Collaborate closely with designers and product managers to translate requirements into user-friendly interfaces
• Work with backend engineers to integrate and manage dependencies without compromising quality
• Adapt swiftly to changing priorities and project roadmaps while maintaining delivery standards
• Decompose complex features into manageable, high-quality deliverables that can be shipped steadily
• Implement automated tests and contribute to continuous integration and deployment pipelines
• Communicate technical decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ensure accessibility is integrated into all aspects of the front-end development process

Baskunskaper

• 5+ years of production experience shipping software to real users
• Deep expertise in JavaScript and strong proficiency with React
• Solid skills in TypeScript and modern CSS
• Experience debugging issues on real devices, slow networks, or with large data volumes
• Proven experience developing and maintaining complex single-page applications with state management, data-heavy views, and performance optimizations
• A strong understanding of user experience and interaction design, with an ability to critique designs early based on real data
• Accessibility included as part of the development process
• Comfortable consuming REST APIs and handling UI states for failure, latency, and partial data
• Ability to decompose large features into high-quality incremental deliverables
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD tooling
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to explain technical decisions and document designs clearly
