We are looking for a Norwegian and English-speaking Localization Specialist who will work on translating and localizing digital content. Read more and apply below!

About the role

Academic Work is seeking, on behalf of our client, a Norwegian and English Localization Specialist to join their Digital Learning and Engagement team. The assignment is full-time with an immediate start and will initially run for three months with the possibility of extension.

Work tasks

As a Localization Specialist, you will adapt digital content, training materials, and customer-facing resources for regional audiences. Working closely with product, marketing, and support teams, you will ensure high-quality, culturally relevant content across digital channels. The role goes beyond translation, requiring strong linguistic skills and an understanding of culture, context, and user behavior, while collaborating with an international team across the Nordics and Europe.

Remote work is possible, but occasional travel to the office in Stockholm may be required.

  • Translation and localization of digital content, training materials, and communications
  • Ensuring linguistic and cultural adaptation for target audiences in different countries
  • Quality assurance of translated materials
  • Collaboration with content creators, designers, and other language experts

We are looking for

  • Fluent in Norwegian and English (all work and team communication is conducted in English)
  • At least 2 years of experience in localization, translation, or user-focused content adaptation
  • Experience working in international organizations or teams
  • Good understanding of digital platforms and content management
  • Comfortable working with digital tools and cloud-based platforms

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience within public procurement or regulated sectors
  • Good knowledge in Danish
