Assignment Description

We are looking for a Legal Counsel – Trade & ESG

What You Will Work On

  • Provide legal support to customs and trade teams
  • Support trade compliance processes and process improvements
  • Monitor and assess regulatory developments related to ESG and trade
  • Advise the organization on actions required to maintain regulatory compliance
  • Support implementation of third-party due diligence governance models
  • Provide legal support related to CSDDD
  • Support implementation of EUDR and EUBR
  • Manage national modern slavery reporting requirements
  • Support trade compliance risk assessments
  • Advise on regulatory supply chain due diligence requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization
  • Communicate regulatory changes and their business impact to relevant stakeholders

What You Bring

  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in trade compliance and ESG
  • Strong experience with trade compliance matters
  • Experience with operational trade compliance activities and risk assessments
  • Experience with regulatory supply chain due diligence
  • Knowledge of ESG-related regulatory requirements
  • Experience working with CSDDD, EUDR, EUBR, or similar regulations
  • Ability to monitor, interpret, and communicate regulatory developments
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments
  • Strong legal and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to provide practical legal advice in a changing regulatory environment
