We are now adding a new colleague to our Production Team based in Uppsala, Sweden. Our Production Team covers a wide range of functions including instrument assembly, testing, purchasing and managing logistics. This role is a great opportunity to be part of a growing high-tech company, in which you will have a profound influence in delivering world-leading scientific instruments. Our industry is highly international with customers based at Research Agencies and Universities around the world.
This position is responsible for part of the final testing of our instruments before they are delivered to our customers worldwide. Some of the instruments that we produce in Uppsala are the hemispherical photoelectron analyzers DA20, DA30, DFS30, HiPP 3, EW4000, Argus CU and the photon sources SX300, DSX400 and VUV5k.
Your Profile
· PhD in physics or similar field
· Experience in using Photo Electron Spectroscopy equipment, and Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) technology
· Knowledge of instrument testing and production
· Good understanding of complex technical parts
· Hands on experience of building UHV systems
· Proactive and creative problem-solving skills
· Fluent in business English (verbal and written)
· Ambition to learn Swedish (if not native)
· Drive, energy and result oriented team player attributes
