JOB DESCRIPTIONWorking as a Senior System Engineer within R&D Instrument at Moleculent, you will support the development of innovative products for research applications in a fast-growing R&D environment. You will focus on requirements management, system design coordination, change management, and configuration management, while also helping establish and improve scalable engineering processes as the organization grows.
You will combine structured systems thinking with hands-on cross-functional collaboration across biochemistry, software, mechanical, and electrical engineering.
Key responsibilities include:
Define, structure, and maintain system and stakeholder requirements with clear traceability through design and verification
Coordinate system-level architecture and design activities across biochemistry, software, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams
Facilitate technical reviews to ensure alignment between requirements and implementation
Establish and continuously improve requirements, change, and configuration management processes
Manage engineering changes, conduct impact assessments, and maintain controlled product baselines
Support system integration, verification, and product release activities
To fit the role, you most likely hold a degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
You have experience in systems engineering within the development of life science instruments, laboratory equipment, analytical instruments, or similar technology-driven products. Fluent written and spoken English is required.

Strong understanding of requirements management and configuration/change control principles
Experience introducing or scaling engineering processes in a growing organization
A structured, hands-on mindset with strong cross-functional communication skills
Experience supporting system integration, verification, and product release activities
Experience in project management/ working as a team lead is considered very meriting
