Assignment Description
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
What You Will Work On
- Lead and coordinate mechanical engineering activities within power system and substation projects
- Design and develop solutions related to high-voltage substations and electrical infrastructure
- Perform engineering studies, technical analyses, and design evaluations
- Support planning, design, and modification of equipment, systems, and installations
- Coordinate activities across engineering disciplines and project teams
- Develop cable routing, lightning protection, and primary equipment design solutions
- Contribute to steel structure and support system design activities
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and project requirements
- Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders
- Identify and resolve complex technical challenges throughout project execution
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and quality assurance activities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices
- Contribute to domestic and international engineering projects
What You Bring
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Minimum 6 years of relevant engineering experience, including leadership or coordination responsibilities
- Alternatively, another technical degree combined with 15+ years of relevant industry experience
- Proven experience within high-voltage power systems, substations, or medium/high-voltage switchgear environments
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles within energy infrastructure projects
- Experience coordinating engineering activities across multiple disciplines
- Knowledge of applicable industry standards such as EN and IEC
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and drive engineering activities forward
- Fluent English communication skills, written and spoken
- Good verbal and written Swedish communication skills
