Volvo Trucks International is responsible for sales and marketing activities in Africa, Middle East, Asia and Oceania markets, covering truck sales in 70 countries, home to more than 50% of world’s population. Annual deliveries of approx. 20 000 trucks and yearly turnover of approx. 30Bn SEK.         

Total Offer Sales Director, Sales Area Volvo Trucks International (VTI)

The Total Offer Sales Director is a key stakeholder in the development of Volvo Trucks International business and profitability development. We search for an individual with a strong commercial mindset taking active part in driving business performance development within New Trucks Sales and Used Truck Sales and is a key player within the VTI Central team. You will be part of an ambitious and curious VTI-team that continuously seek improvement areas where you will have both seat at the table and expectation to utilize your expertise for active contribution.  

The position reports to VP Truck Sales and Marketing Sales Area Volvo Trucks International.

Main activities and responsibilities:
  • Drive VTI Sales growth towards 2030 targets – 28 000 units 
  • Identify, drive and support market sales growth targets and key activities
  • Lead VTI Segment growth strategy and execution 
  • In coordination with markets, drive activities/projects to identify and analyze segment growth potential to drive defined activity plans
  • Manage, coach and advice on total offer calculations and deal structure to secure optimal value proposition 
  • Drive growth of ZEV sales in VTI 
  • Monitor, consolidate and manage business cases for exploration of new business potential 
  • Active part of managing VTI Sales Management network and coordination with Volvo Trucks counterparts
  • Extensive travelling expected in VTI markets 

Qualifications and critical competencies for the position

  • Senior and broad experience from sales of total transport solutions.
  • Proved market experience from sales/commercial role, negotiation skills, business acumen and high commercial drive 
  • Experience from all main technologies, combustion engine, alternative fuels and electromobility 
  • Experience and knowledge in how to work with total offer calculations with value-based argumentation. Including service and finance solutions. 
  • Understanding of customer operation and ability to convert to customer needs to transport solution
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills on all main interface levels 
  • Self-going individual that take own initiatives and accountability for the area of responsibility. 
  • University degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent
